Directions from Cape Town International Airport

Drive along the N2 motorway towards the centre of Cape Town (approx. 20 minutes). When you reach Cape Town, keep the mountain on your left-hand side, and you will pass Groote Schuur Hospital on your right.

Keep in the left-and lane, i.e. the lane closest to the mountain. The N2 then splits into the Eastern Boulevard (right) and the M3, de Waal Drive (left).

TAKE THE M3 and drive all the way down until you see a glide-off to the left to MILL STREET. Take this glide-off and you will cross over a bridge - carry on through the next 2 sets of traffic lights. Immediately after the 2nd set, take the first turning to your left, HOF STREET. Drive up Hof Street and at the top the road bends to the right.

KEEP LEFT in the bend, and you will see the sign VILLA LUTZI ahead.

From Cape Town Station

Drive up Hans Strijdom street and turn left into LONG STREET. This is a one way - follow it all the way to the end. At these traffic lights, turn left into BUITENSINGEL ROAD.

You will pass a Shell garage on your left. After the next set of traffic lights, the road bends to the left. You will see the entrance to the MOUNT NELSON HOTEL (huge pillars) on the right - turn right immediately after the entrance into HOF STREET.

Keep going up this street and at the top the road bends to the right. KEEP LEFT in the bend and you will see the sign VILLA LUTZI ahead.

From Paarl

Take the N1 into Cape Town. At the Table Bay Boulevard interchange, keep in the right-hand lane and follow signs to Sea Point and The Waterfront. Drive on until you come to a large junction, with traffic lights. (To your left Coen Steytler Avenue and to your right, The Waterfront). Cross over this junction and you are now in BUITENGRACHT ROAD (also called the M62). Keep driving along this road through 4 sets of traffic lights. At the 5th set turn left into BUITENSINGEL ROAD.

This is a steep road - drive to the bottom, cross over a set of traffic lights and the road bends to the right. Carry on and after the next set of lights you will see the entrance to the MOUNT NELSON HOTEL (huge pillars) on the right. Immediately after the entrance, turn right into HOF STREET, keep going up this street and at the top, the road bends to the right. KEEP LEFT in the bend, and you will see the sign for VILLA LUTZI ahead.
